To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 23年12月11日中午到臨餐廳午餐,一入去已經無人接待,只係見到個女經理不停追駡女職員。12點半坐低後發現,有好多空枱,人客比之前少。手機冇空,叫佢攞點心紙過來,態度惡劣,極度不願意再叫你用手機點餐,最後都係拋低在枱面,好冇禮貌,不知所謂。叫了一碟燒腩仔,肉都已經變色,食了之後發覺凍的,食了不會換,諗住同女經理善意投訴一下,口快講錯了叉燒又凍味道開始變,她說這不是叉燒,係燒腩仔便走了,真係黐線,不知所謂。其他的點心質素每況越下,根本冇人監管,完全冇水準,最後五個人食了1200元,其實陶園都算係 貴價 酒樓,點解可以做到這樣?終於明白香港人點解上大陸消費,若果唔係附近冇乜酒樓見客,一定唔會再去。
