To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 已經一段時間沒去南丫島,今次星期五晚專程入去食個海鮮餐。餐廳有船來回中環尖沙咀,船程約半小時,都可以話係非常方便。可能真係多左人北上,即使星期五晚上,餐廳都唔滿座。雖然以家天氣唔算凍,但坐室外餐廳亦有暖爐提供。今次食到南丫島經典海鮮餐,非常惹味。海鮮餐真材實料,今餐樣樣都好味!冇得彈最喜歡椒鹽瀨尿蝦,外殼炸到勁脆。吉列鮮魷都係必點,既唔油又食酥脆新鮮嘅魷魚🦑炒蟶子非常入味,最後我地仲加點了天虹炒飯及炒麵。
