Chinese Tea Eggs are a traditional snack made with Pu-Erh Tea marinade which are usually found in conjunction with Chinese Herbal Tea. Love the old antique atmosphere Very richly boiled in a pot of Pu-Erh Tea and, most likely, Soy Sauce and Star Anise marinade, in which eggs were simmered in for a few hours. Egg shells were cracked to let the marinate seep through, price is actually very cheap, costing only HK$10/3pc or HK$4/1pc.Flavour in the egg is just right, not too overpowering. Aromatic

Flavour in the egg is just right, not too overpowering. Aromatic, fills the air with this herbally kinda tea smell which exactly is what the Chinese Tea Egg tastes like.
