Chinese Tea Eggs are a traditional snack made with Pu-Erh Tea marinade which are usually found in conjunction with Chinese Herbal Tea. Love the old antique atmosphere Very richly boiled in a pot of Pu-Erh Tea and, most likely, Soy Sauce and Star Anise marinade, in which eggs were simmered in for a few hours. Egg shells were cracked to let the marinate seep through, price is actually very cheap, costing only HK$10/3pc or HK$4/1pc.Flavour in the egg is just right, not too overpowering. Aromatic

Very richly boiled in a pot of Pu-Erh Tea and, most likely, Soy Sauce and Star Anise marinade, in which eggs were simmered in for a few hours.

Egg shells were cracked to let the marinate seep through, price is actually very cheap, costing only HK$10/3pc or HK$4/1pc.

Flavour in the egg is just right, not too overpowering. Aromatic, fills the air with this herbally kinda tea smell which exactly is what the Chinese Tea Egg tastes like.
