應友邀請往灣仔上樓日式料理用膳,地點位於譚臣道,久未踏足該處,這條在軒尼詩道後面的小街,如今已變為一條食街,八成以上店鋪都經營餐飲業,能在該競爭激烈的小街生存,而且是招牌也沒一個的食市,相信必有其可取之處。小店格局,座位只有40左右。前菜漬物點了北海道薯仔沙律及和風煮東風螺,兩道菜為全晚食物中的最愛。馬鈴薯的香味遠較本地或國產的強,下嚥後香氣在口腔久久不散,蔬菜甚為清甜。和風鹵汁不像中式鹵汁般有着大量香料,不過鮮味甚濃,估計可能製作日式鹵汁都會加入大根即白蘿白提鮮,無論是日式义燒的鹵汁,以致今晚吃到的東風螺鹵汁都會有大根,當然日式鹵汁亦會用上大量味霖,這亦是其中的鮮甜因素,鮮味的螺碰上鮮味鹵汁,散發出超誘人的味道。黑松露海膽茶碗蒸海膽跟松露都是充滿個性的食材,如果只是兩者同吃,則各自味道都被蓋過,但跟淡味的蒸蛋同吃,則會把兩種食材的味道稀釋,與蛋香溶為一體。七色刺身除了用新鮮味料靚四字形容,別無其他。黑雞魚唐揚從名字推測,沒可能猜到面前的是唐揚魔鬼魚臉肉,幸好有侍應的循循解說,本以為魚肉會帶點粗鞋,怎料魚肉卻嫩滑彈牙,相當美味。和牛炒飯炒飯顆粒分明,甚有鑊氣。枺茶布丁以高質抺茶粉製成,
