To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

日前幸有機會參與一個活動,讓我和內子可以先試為快,品嚐即將應節的聖誕美食。因此,雖然要走到荃灣那麼遠,我倆也願意去一試。首先登場的是五道熱盤小食,其中數款對我倆特別深刻:* 芝心炸魚蛋-這款小食,將炸魚蛋作出變化,比起一般的炸魚蛋味道更豐富。* 蝦多士-因為製作工序多,這款小食已難以在香港的茶餐廳找到,而且蝦膠是用人手刴的,所以特別「彈牙」。* 蟹肉撻-將蛋撻的餡料,由雞蛋變了蟹肉,味道鮮甜。然後登場的是五道主菜:* 煎三文魚配大蝦* 香煎羊架* 燒春雞配帶子* 燒火雞(配栗子汁)* 牛扒(配燒汁)五道菜都各有千秋,但個人來說,最好味的是羊架和牛扒。其實聖誕節的美食,少不了有火雞和牛扒,但多了海鮮主菜選擇,都可迎合不同的口味。吃到飽了,五道甜品亦出爐了。最特別的是做成樹木型的蛋糕,因為這款甜品甚少有機會吃到,可能是聖誕節才有的特別甜品。而其餘的甜品就甜了一點,若果稍為減少甜度會較佳。這個活動難得的是有「細細粒」作嘉賓,為這一頓聖誕美食增添氣氛。以一間開幕不久的酒店,推出的聖誕美食已是很不錯的了,但仍有進步的空間。期望有機會可以再蒞臨品嚐!
