終於等到天氣稍稍有涼意, 打邊爐, BBQ紛紛出動。 除此之外, 食辣都是一個不錯選擇。辣有分好多種, 其中中菜的辣菜派系就要數到川菜。而川菜內又細緻分為"渝派"和"蓉派", 前者是重口味的勁辣, 而後者則以香濃精細, 以辣溫和調味。原址亞士厘道, 今年年中搬到君怡酒店內的"川熙樓", 就是以"蓉派"為主。位於酒店一樓的一角, 門面較為低調, 內裡卻以鮮紅深啡色調為基礎, 不乏中國摩登風元素的屏風、掛畫, 裝潢是耀眼奪目的, 跟原址風格截然不同。 別以為紅噹噹的川菜只有辣, 打開餐牌差不多每個菜式都有隻辣椒在旁, 其實食店以經典菜式為基本, 將辣度調較改良, 迎合港人口味, 更有不辣的菜式提供, 令川菜沒有想像的辣。如果想吃辣, 但又擔心沒膽量挑戰的話, 落單時更可著店員"輕手"一點。 跟平常中菜喝到的茶葉茶味道略有不同, 詢問之下原來是用了苦蕎茶 (茶芥每位$8)。苦蕎茶是炒米茶一種, 帶烘烤過的焦香麥味, 微微的清香, 能夠中和以下的辣度刺激和濃郁。 而前菜非蕎頭, 而是酸辣蓮尖 ($10), 口感爽脆帶微酸, 頗為開胃。 先來碟涼菜: 晾衣白肉 $98賣相

上檯時已聞到非常香濃的味道。雞皮掛有一層光令卻不油膩, 雞肉未算很嫩滑, 不過非常入味, 吸收了辣油後更倍加惹味。食店從成都引入上乘土產香料, 煲中的孜然味尤其香濃, 花椒的加入令辣度更有層次感, 配菜中的蓮藕片爽口好食。

最後來一碟蔬菜。娃娃菜煮得爽嫩又腍軟, 高湯清甜之餘又帶點微微辣椒香, 鮮和辣平衡了舌頭令湯頭好飲, 不禁要多喝幾口, 想不到辣椒的加入令健康烚菜更惹味。伴碟看似青色蟲蟲的其實是勁辣無比的辣椒, 想挑戰極限可不妨一試。
