To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 「美中鴨子」已經開業好一段時間,即使最近開放了領號碼籌的措施,店門外等候的人還是擠得水泄不通,當晚有等候的食客因為未到齊一半人數而不能入座,繼而對店員惡言相向。香港人,放輕鬆一點吧,服務業不易做,別把自己的怒氣發洩在別人身上。回正題,店舖裝修新式闊落,廚房屬於半開放式,除了看到烤鴨爐掛上了一隻隻肥美的烤鴨外,亦能看到廚師們忙碌的身影,可能因為座位遠離廚房,所以油煙味不大。雖然食客眾多可是店員反應非常快速,會主動添水。餐具方面也別具心思,用上了鴨子造型圖案和筷子座。因為漏單關係,片皮鴨等了接近45分鐘才送上來。餅皮厚薄適中,雖然用蒸籠盛載,但仍容易變凍。鴨皮和肉分離,沒什麼肥膏,肉質算嫩滑,吃起來啖啖肉,鴨皮脆身。尤其醬料出色,提升了整個味道的層次。兩個人吃到最後有點膩,大概四人分食半隻鴨會比較理想熱騰騰的小籠包,上桌時還是冒著蒸汽,皮薄多汁,餡料湯汁偏鹹。一人份的雲吞鴨湯有兩隻雲吞,幾塊鴨肉,奶白色的湯帶有輕微鴨味,但整體還是和小籠包一樣偏重口味炒飯顆粒分明,乾身,調味鹹淡適宜,只是金華火腿和鮮菌也不太見影。炒飯裡的青豆沒有草青味,也不會太硬身。美中鴨子主要問題是等候人數多,除了等候時

美中鴨子主要問題是等候人數多,除了等候時間長,入座安排亦不算流暢。店員做得忙碌之餘,廚房又容易漏單。撇除以上的問題,其實食物水準還是不俗的,而且有提供大檯一家大細用餐,可惜等候時間太長了,可能吃晚餐第一輪會比較少人吧
