To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

東大街是港島東有名的食街，食肆林立，今晚與朋友到來吃晚飯。朋友喜歡吃拉麵，於是我們選擇了八雲札幌拉麵。這裏有各式各樣的拉麵散點和套餐，我們選擇了二人套餐$258，主食要了札幌螃蟹拉麵和鰻魚飯（另加$10 ）；除了兩款主食，套餐還包括了海鮮沙律、餃子、吉列蝦、雞翼兩串、雞軟骨兩串和汽水兩支，份量十足。有趣的是，桌上放了一籃熟雞蛋，店員說可隨意食用的。店內環境很有日式風情，食物質素高，最重要是服務態度良好，我們會再次光臨的。
