在豪華餅店說結業前一星期, 我和太太在九龍城吃晚飯後經過, 那時它還在營業, 門可羅雀的情況在一星期後完全反轉過來, 要等個多小時才能買到其烘焙品, 一窩蜂悼念的能力真強, 其實我也是. 說到結業的理由, 就是老闆仔女出生有成, 然後退休, 再加上員工的年齡偏大, 這是開心的事, 沒什麼好不捨和傷心的.豪華餅店的評價, 兩極的情況很大情度在於其烘焙品的價錢, 例如是一般花餅要十五元, 蛋撻要十元, 原條蛋卷更要一百五十多元, 有不少食客覺得相當高昂. 如果和動輒要四五十元的西式糕點比較當然OK, 但作為屋村出身的我, 吃過兩元多的蛋撻和三四元一件的花餅, 自然會覺得它不值這個價錢.豪華的蛋撻真心不差, 蛋汁夠甜夠蛋香, 口感偏實, 酥皮層次分明, 個人喜歡牛油餅皮, 牛油香更濃, 口感香脆, 說是成名之作也不為過. 傳統花餅如黃梅蛋糕及花卷也是越來越少見, 味道就是傳統的味道, 重甜重Cream, 作為回憶的味道ok, 但如果年輕的朋友, 未試過七八十年代傳統西餅的味道, 就真的不用試了, 畢竟和現在的品味是有點分別的.Hoover had been establish at Kowl

Hoover had been establish at Kowloon City for near 50 years. The traditional cake and egg tarts are her trademark that can recall my child memory. When we know the news of her closure, we need to wait for hours for her cake that is amazing as she is not that crowded in weekday and weekend. The egg tart is good in texture of puff and the flavor of egg juice. It is costly but as the way to recall my memory, i still believe it is worthy trying.
