以前講起食牛肉火鍋,腦海即時泛起的印象很大機會是日式 shabu-shabu,雖然港式火鍋(或稱作打邊爐)很多時候也以本地手切牛肉為主角之一,但同時也有其他海鮮、丸類、肉類等等,根本不能算是牛肉火鍋。一直以來,勉強稱得上是牛肉火鍋的本地薑應該只有九龍城老字號「方榮記」。去年底,有一間新字號靜靜地冒起來,並打正本地牛肉火鍋旗號,但三間分店全部在新界區,對筆者來說,交通實在不方便,所以一直沒有機會一探究竟。原來小店已經靜悄悄衝出新界、殺入銅鑼灣;上個禮拜經過餐廳門口卻爆棚,今個星期提前幾日訂位,終於可以滿足願望一試這間本地牛肉火鍋專門店「616」。「616」諧音「淥一淥」夠抵死,擺明打邊爐。再睇真啲這一間分店的名字,其實是「616 十二味」。「616」是牛肉火鍋專門店;「十二味」則是以辣為主題,幾家分店分別主理四川、湖南、貴州風味菜式。兩者實在風馬牛不相及,到底為什麼會搞 cross over? 莫非幕後老闆都是同一班人?餐廳設計非常草根,四周牆壁襯以仿青磚及鮮墨綠色夾板,再配合仿鐵皮大排檔招牌作為裝飾;明顯就是模仿一個鐵皮大排檔,唔知點解,以前的鐵皮大排檔都鍾意用綠色油漆?墊枱的餐紙有兩
