To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 晚上外出散步,順便吃飯,行了一個地鐵站入到Popcorn,路過翡翠,就決定在這間吃飯。2人在一張細枱坐下。菜牌內大多是上海小菜,我們點了3樣菜加2碗白飯,我想吃菜飯,但侍應說沒有菜飯。花雕醉雞 – 細細碟,雪凍的雞皮爽口,雞肉切成細件,浸在濃郁花雕酒內,焯焯講笑說飲多2匙都會醉,酒汁滴在飯上,連飯也有酒味。薑茸蒸小黃魚 – 2條小黃魚切去頭部,皮上放滿綿綿的薑茸,魚骨細條軟身,用筷子夾起魚肉已有種軟滑感,入口果然滑溜又不腥,下次再來,一定要再吃多次。鹹肉津白膽 – 吸收了鹹肉味,津白比較可口,鹹肉是名符其實的鹹。白飯細碗,口感是軟飯一族喜好。侍應反應快,吃完一碟,很快來收,亦密密加茶水。
