Passed by Mongkok and saw this newly opened restaurant offering Yunnan cuisine so decided to give it a try. It was pretty bright with everything brand new. There were 2 lunch sets: one cost $88 and one cost $78. The difference was rice noodle/rainbow noodle vs rice and a bigger appetiser vs a smaller one, with the former being $10 more expensive. One appetiser and a drink were also included in the set. We decided to order different items to try out their food.涼拌萵筍絲 (included in set)They were fres

涼拌萵筍絲 (included in set)
They were fresh and crispy and were quite spicy with quite a lot of chili. Good for the hot weather.

刀拍青瓜 (included in set)
Portion of the cucumber was very big. Cucumber was of course fresh and crispy. The sauce was spicy yet pretty sour. Another appetising appetiser.
Then here you go the mains.

雲魅鷄絲涼七彩麵 at $88
As it was so hot, we decided to order cold noodles. We were curious and decided to try rainbow noodles rather than rice noodles. Rainbow noodles were actually green, white and grey noodles. They were very good as they were very very smooth, although they were not those al dente type. The presentation was pretty nice as the noodles were topped by some cucumber shreds, chicken shreds, some sesame and some chopped coriander and spring onion, and then decorated by cherry tomatoes on the sides. Ingredients were fresh with crispy cucumber vs smooth noodles to offer different textures. The chicken shreds were pretty tender and reasonably rich in chicken flavour too. There was some spicy sauce to go with the noodles but it was actually not spicy overall. Quite a good dish.

The spicy chicken cubes with onions were served in a clay pot. Unfortunately my lunch partner and I kept chatting so that by the time we started to eat, the chicken cubes were not so hot anymore. The chicken cubes were quite tender and reasonably rich in chicken flavour too. They were just slightly spicy. I particularly liked the plain rice which was very moist - my cup of tea.
For drinks, we tried two different types. We asked for takeaways because we were rushing to go.

蜂蜜紅棗茶 (on the left) (included in set)
It was not too sweet at all and tasted pretty 滋潤 to relieve your throat after eating the spicy food.
紅棗木瓜冰冰粉 (on the right) (included in set)
This drink was much better value for money because there were quite a lot of 冰粉 i.e. transparent jelly. Taste-wise, it was quite similar to 蜂蜜紅棗茶 but a little bit sweeter. It was just like a sweet soup but freely included in the lunch set without the need to top up. Great value!
In short, the food was pretty nice.
