To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 疫情下周女友去荃灣行街,下午佢想去食燒肉,諗住都疫情啦,牛角應該唔多人掛,就去左牛角,點知,原來下午3點,都有好多人排隊。不過等約廿張,諗住都唔洗等好耐,咪等下,點點知,原來要等成個鐘,我地成4點先入到去,我真係好傻好天真咁入到去叫任燒套餐x2 ,可能因為之前牛角fb事件,而家啲質素真係幾好,係有時叫啲肉黎,會雪到好硬,不過放上網燒,好食最緊要。最估唔到既係,佢地竟然有雞泡魚干可以叫,我地就不斷叫雞泡魚干黎燒,前後叫左約10份,唔好講笑,叫雞泡魚干真係多過叫牛肉🤣🤣🤣🤣而且每次叫2份,佢地都會配上一碟沙律醬,燒完點黎食,實在太正到侍應通知我地臨尾last order,問我仲有冇需要加單,我都話:黎多兩份雞泡魚干啦,佢地拎過黎呢碟係咁多碟入面最大碟😆😆😆😆
