To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 5/4/2021我們一行六人到南丫島食海鮮,叫佐個六人套餐。首先,坐極都無人理你,想點菜都等佐好耐。食物黎到又唔係熱,都唔知放佐幾耐先拎出黎,而味道方面更是一般!食完想埋單,又係無人理你,結果,唯有自己拎出去埋啦。拎到出去,同佢講想埋單,又十問九唔認,仲要俾傳菜阿姐話阻住佢出菜。其實你地如果服務好,就不用客人自己去埋單啦。最後,搵到收銀處埋單,個收銀女人黑口黑面,單又睇唔到,唔知佢點計? 一個大數叫你找數,真係超唔掂。一定無下次,有免費船都唔會黎幫襯。
