Central on Sunday was very quiet and peaceful. I loved its tranquility. We needed a afternoon tea, so we came to try this place. During weekdays, we could never been able to try this place as it had always a queue in front of its shop. So good that could try on Sunday. We ordered two tea set, one with a snack and another one without. We had a 雞絲湯河, 香茅牛肉撈檬 and a snack portion of 香茅豬扒. We both had a can of coke as drinks.
雞絲湯河came in a large bowl. The rice noodle was nice and thin. This was particularly important in Vietnamese cuisine. If not, then it was too bad. The chicken strips was not bad too.
香茅牛肉撈檬came in a large bowl too. This 撈檬 had sumptuous ingredients namely lettuce, carrots and cucumber, all in strips and also had some fried garlic pieces. Then mixed everything with the sweet sauce (noc lum), quite nice and refreshing.
香茅豬扒 was quite nice. Not fatty. Not too bad for such price.
All in all, this was not a bad place for a value-for-money afternoon tea set.
