Dinner at Gyujin Hanare might’ve been one of my favourite meals recently! The well-known shabu shabu chain Gyujin has recently launched a premium Japanese hotpot experience paired with premium Japanese A5 Wagyu and other high quality ingredients! 🇯🇵🐮🍲

✨We ordered one Supreme Kagoshima A5 Wagyu set and another Kagoshima Japanese Wagyu Lean Part Set. This is served with Today’s appetiser, Seasonal Vegetable Platter, Chef’s Recommendations, Intermezzo, Main Dish, Rice/Udon/Soba and Dessert. Priced at $689 hkd and $529 hkd respectively.

📝 Overall review:
— Everything was extremely high quality. The quality of wagyu was exceptional and so worth it for the price. Not a single thing I didn’t enjoy from this meal.

— I would recommend ordering a smaller set if you do opt for their $689 hkd Supreme set, as this comes with around 400g of beef. The other sets come with around 200-300g each.

— The A5 Kagoshima Wagyu sirloin was simply to die for (Pics 2️⃣,3️⃣&4️⃣) The marbling was insane and it just melted in your mouth.

— The Wagyu top blade cut was also a highlight, less fatty compared to the sirloin, but with a meatier flavour. Also melted in your mouth.

— The vegetable platter definitely deserves some attention too. Just look at how beautifully its arranged 😍 All their vegetables are imported from Japan, and were all so crisp and fresh.

— I loved the range of appetisers offered, and my favourite was undoubtedly the wagyu beef tartare which was perfectly seasoned with sesame oil, chives and a sprinkling of sea salt.

— Both broth choices were great, and we opted for something a bit lighter so we could enjoy the original taste of the beef. The sukiyaki base was a lot more flavourful and savoury, which made it perfect to cook the udon and vegetables in as they were able to soak up all the flavours.

— The dessert platter was the perfect ending. The shiratama and warabi mochi were both super chewy and tasty.
