To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 晚餐時段的牛角價錢不算便宜,但原來它的午餐時段定價,跟一般尖沙咀區的日式餐店差不多,滿足燒肉情懷之餘,錢包的付出相對宜人得多。是日點了雙拼燒肉set,有分A和B肉類,A主要是牛,B則有雞和豚。除了選肉類,還可以選醃製的醬料,個人覺得好的日式燒肉實在不該先醃... 勉強選了鹽麴。套餐的飯也可選,白飯或牛角飯,套餐還有湯,沙律和飲品。職員會說明桌上醬料及肉夾的詳細,這點挺細心。肉來了,由於時間關係要「一獲熟」,左邊大塊一點的是熊本豚,友人大讚。鹽麴的肉已經很夠味,再用醬料的話會顯得太鹹,肉算是有肉味,但肋肉和腩肉感覺分別不大。另有友人點了飯餐定食,她覺得很好吃,下次可以一試。整體感覺不錯,覺得挺滿足,如果只是想吃幾口滿足一下燒肉慾,可以光顧午市,不用捱晚市的貴價格~
