To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 香港仔南記粉麵,我諗佢哋最出名都應該係佢哋嘅春卷,平時多數都係幫場下午茶,今日第一次食佢早餐;選擇方面唔算太多,但係有將佢哋嘅春卷擺落早餐入邊,識做咁就一於試試佢個春卷早餐。今次點呢個係鮮茄套餐,鮮茄春卷米通,配牛油餐包加炒滑蛋。鮮茄湯底,食落真係似用新鮮蕃茄煲,唔係剩落茄膏,冇嗰種腥腥地嘅鐵味,米通爽滑,口感不錯,春卷都係平時嗰啲咁樣,吵吵地又實實地,但都幾好味最緊要最緊要係咩?成碗嘢夠熱!其實炒滑蛋都有好多種,有好多種炒法,不得不提係幫你切埋、擺埋牛油嘅牛油餐包,係餐包,唔係方包;講真喺中環都食過有幾間早餐係有餐包,但係間間啲餐包都怪怪地,唔係硬就一係實,今次個供應商來貨不錯,咬落鬆軟,似返一個麵包。實話實說,喜出望外。
