To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今日五一黃金周,好開心條街無了自由行,耳仔舒服了,隻腳唔洗俾喼轆到,真好!香港人當然要支持香港人的小店,但實在每間黃店都大排長龍,雖然品嚐唔到,但好感動!香港人要堅持去支持黃店呀今日選了日本連鎖燒肉店,同男朋友食下午茶,可選放題或套餐,先取了電子票,再等待叫號碼,但帶位姐姐的態度可以好一點,另外服務也可以更有效率、友善欣勤多一點有3種前菜(醃酸番茄、彈牙墨魚嘴、醃辣青瓜)點了$169牛肋肉四品燒肉盛盒牛肉質素好好,新鮮的顏色,不同部分的牛肋肉口感一流,我們點了辣汁,醃得入味好香好食,可配上不同醬汁(蒜蓉、燒肉醬、豉油);跟了多一種配菜(可選菇、秋葵、帶子)我們選了牛油帶子,不錯;更有飯選擇(選了香蔥滑蛋飯)黑蒜叉燒拉麵大碗口感不錯,黑蒜味唔濃,但拉麵口感幾好;有唐心蛋及叉燒,湯底唔會太咸;配了昆布麵豉湯,不會太咸,昆布唔少雜錦蔬菜盛合有蒿筍片、秋葵、山藥片、粟米、杏鮑菇片,都幾好!燒有豉油汁,更有多一盤汁讓蔬菜不會燒得太乾點餐叫人都是用平板電腦,服務的效率及友善度可改善
