To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 行到邊區總有間太興,但如非食到冇得揀,都唔會食,於普通茶餐廳無異,但價錢係以倍計。今日喺東區裁判法院做完嘢已經係下午茶時間,街口就係太興,就腳嘛,總是最好的藉口,同行朋友話要食,咁就食啦,心想穩陣啲,去到食燒味冇死囉掛~可惜,可惜~張相好吸引呢?而我又真係想食咁多款嘢,就係你啦~兩粒星係比啲鹹蛋、紅腸、油雞同燻蹄嘅,啲飯好彩有豉油先易入口啲,硬到一個點,最令人震驚嘅嘅係嚿叉燒正所謂有圖有真相,又瘦又乾嘅叉燒,硬繃繃,練牙力嘅好工具!?我知一睇就知道係尾位,咁都可以飛咗佢掛?明唔明咩叫做“眼不見為淨”?咁嘅質素,真係唔好擺上檯比啲客食啦!聽聞太興本身係有品質監控㗎,有監控都搞成咁,冇嘅話會變成點?好難想像⋯⋯
