To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今日星期日,過左兩點鐘少少先到,已經見到門口好多人等位,即刻拎飛等叫號。因為我地都唔介意搭枱,所以比較快能夠入座。後來先知原來係因為晚上有婚宴,所以佢無開放偏廳房間,所以座位比較緊張。同樣是下午茶時段,除左叫左少量點心,亦都試下點佢既肉絲煎面(無錯,係「煎」面),意外地好食,特別係如果鐘意食平時肉絲炒面喺側面脆口既面餅,佢煎得岩岩好,唔會太焦太油。中間既面底同啲料一齊食又唔會太鹹。而家喺出面茶餐廳午餐食個炒粉面飯都係差唔多既價錢(30尾到40頭),而肉絲炒面亦都唔係好多間餐廳煮得好食,一係就太濕,太鹹,或者太乾,分佈得唔平均。但呢間酒樓既價錢雖然稍貴,但係個質素係值得。至於其他點心,同肉絲煎面相比就有少少失色,質素都比較參差。特別係香芒糯米卷,入面係完全無味(用啫哩粉開水都比佢有味道),鮮蝦菜苗餃亦都退步左少少,唔知點解會加左啲薑喺入面,同菜苗味道好唔夾。至於蝦餃都係真材實料,大大粒既蝦肉喺入面。整體黎講,今餐都算係唔錯,大家下次去酒樓不妨都可以試下點佢既炒粉面飯,話唔定會有驚喜!
