Finally got the chance to visit the 1-Michelin Starred 🌟 Duddell’s, operating under Jia Group. The restaurant brings together art and food, with the entrance resembling an art gallery. Their executive chef combines techniques of traditional Cantonese cooking with his keen eye for detail and contemporary plating skills to deliver some of the best dishes.Pic 1️⃣: Shrimp dumpling, mullet roe, goldfish shape / 都爹利金魚餃 - $108 hkd🐟 — Just look at how cute these are! Pic 1️⃣: Shrimp dumpling, mullet roe, goldfish shape / 都爹利金魚餃 - $108 hkd🐟
— Just look at how cute these are! The presentation and attention to detail in this dish was immaculate. Taste wise, they were similar to your regular har gao with a slight aroma from the mullet roe. The inside of the dumpling was really juicy and the shrimp was well seasoned.
Pic 2️⃣: Pan-fried rice roll, dried shrimp, Duddell’s X.O. Sauce / X.O.
— Might be the best X.O. sauce rice rolls I’ve ever had. These were pan-fried to an extremely crispy exterior with the rice rolls still being soft and smooth on the inside. The highlight was definitely their X.O. sauce which was SO good. It had a rich conpoy flavour and was so aromatic, it’s also not overly spicy so its perfect for those who can’t handle spice.
— Good but these were so tiny 😂 The bun was soft and the topping had a nice sweetness to it. Personally thought the bbq pork filling was a bit too salty.
Pic 4️⃣: Fried rice noodles, Angus Beef, X.O. Sauce / X.O.
— Very average for the price point. The noodles didn’t have a dry enough finish and were more on the wet side. Thought it also lacked the aroma of dark soy sauce and the flavours weren’t rich enough. The dish was also way too oily and became a bit too dense over time. However, the beef slices were well seasoned and very tender, and the noodles were cooked well.
— Another very cute, delicate dish. These vegan dumplings were flavourful and the combination of different vegetables gave it a nice contrast of textures.
— Huge fan of anything with mushrooms and this bun definitely delivered! The bun is filled with a generous amount of a variation of mushrooms to give it a nice aroma.
📍Ambiance: Bright, elegant and spacious interior. Staff are so attentive and professional.
⭐️Would visit again?: Yes! Really want to try out their weekend brunch
