We managed to reserve a table for 4 in the morning for lunch on a weekday. When we arrived shortly after 12p.m., it was already quite crowded! The interior decoration was quite modern. Seating was reasonably spacious. As usual, we kick-started our buffet at the sashimi and sushi counter. As usual, we kick-started our buffet at the sashimi and sushi counter. The sashimi included standard salmon, tuna and 鲷魚 which were quite thick cut compared with those offered at other hotels out there. There were also octopus and 醋鲭魚 which i didn't try. There were quite a lot of sushi, even salmon and mango 花之戀 but they were not refilled after the first few rounds.
There were quite some kinds of Japanese appetizers. I tried some pickled 牛膀 which were ok.

There were quite a few types of cold cuts but I didn't try all. I tried some parma ham which were good eaten with Hami melon. The only complaint was that some Hami melon should have been served close to the parma ham. I had to get some Hami melon from the other side of the restaurant. The roast beef was too dry. Salad greens were pretty fresh! Pork ears tasted good!

There were also some cold seafood like mussels, crayfish, prawns etc. but I wasn't in the mood to try them. They were just too standard. Not having eaten much appetizers/salads as they didn't look too appealing to me, I quickly turned to mains.

蒜香糖醋金沙骨 was pretty good. I had a few rounds!
There were a few types of 燒味 but I only tried char siu which was ok.
Fried 芥蘭 with salted fish was good and I mainly ate it for vegetable consumption.
There was a Thai corner and I tried some curry fish and chicken.
There was also a tempura corner. The tempura were ok despite being left there for a while after deep frying. But there seemed to be only vegetable tempura which was a bit disappointing.

There was a Thai corner and Western corner.
Grilled mushrooms were super delicious & fresh! Grilled pork neck was ok while 牛仔骨 was seasoned pretty well with reasonable texture.

Roasted beef was so-so and there was no bone to eat, unlike Cafe TOO!
The grilled fish sucked, with nothing special but lots of bones.

There were also dim sum which I didn't try because it seemed that you couldn't pick one dim sum out of a 籠 and it seemed too much to finish a whole 籠 on your own. There was also an Indian corner which I didn't try.

There were 2 types of soup:
鼠尾草豬橫脷湯 which I didn't try and Chowder clam soup which was ok with lots of spring onions at your own service.

Finally here you go the desserts corner.

Home-made Gelato

There were 6 types of home-made Gelato which didn't look so pleasing. I first tried 楊枝甘露 Gelato which was so-so (basically tasted like mango and passion fruit with some yuzu on the side) and maotai which tasted so alcoholic that I really didn't like!

I decided to try more gelato so I asked for dark chocolate and mint green apple which didn't taste so good either. Then I finally gave up and went for their soft cream and frozen yoghurt instead. The macarons were a bit soft, maybe exposed to the air for too long? They were kept in a jar and were not so easy to be found.
There were some other cakes/mousses which didn't look/taste so good. The walnut tart I tried was ok because the tart base was still crispy. There was nothing special with the Serradura.

White chocolate soft cream and strawberry frozen yoghurt with loads of toppings at your own service. I added heaps of almond slices and chocolate crumbles. It was one of the best desserts ever!

Although they didn't look so appealing, I tried their berry mousse, mango mousse, cheese cake, green tea & red bean cake. They were so average and made me not want to try other cakes/mousses...

Baked cheese tart was the best food item there! They were baked so well that the cheese was really flowing out from the middle of the tart! They kept serving this too! Yummy!

Fruits included water melons, Hami melons, grapefruits and red dragon fruits. Quality was ok. The red dragon fruits were not refilled afterwards with 蓮霧 being served instead.

A drink but not juice was included in the per head cost. Service was quite good. They even noticed one of my kids dropping her eating utensils onto the floor and offered to replace it with clean ones. It was really appreciated.

Overall, I would say the quality of the food was ok with quite some choices of food, especially sushi, baked cheese tart and frozen yoghurt. However, I think it was quite over-priced, given the lack of outstanding mains/desserts. In particular, there was no pancake/waffle/berries. There were definitely similar places offering a much better value for money in the same district.
