To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 老友請食晚飯,大家都住東九龍,於是相約去呢間喺九龍灣工業區嘅酒樓,諗住比較清靜,方便傾計同可以坐得耐啲吹下水,果然6點半去到真係冇乜人。在報紙剪低咗張優惠券,可以用38元食個羊腩煲兼每人送一碗臘味糯米飯,另外再叫多個398元嘅晚飯三寶。首先上檯嘅羊腩煲,羊腩份量都唔少,唔會淨係得啲骨,羊腩都大大嚿,夠淋又入味,另外配料有支竹、馬蹄、冬菇,但係就冇冬荀,除而代之嘅係粉葛,比較特別。碗臘味糯米飯就較黐立立,口感同味道都好一般。晚飯三寶就有燒腩仔、西芹蝦球炒雞柳同埋清蒸石班。燒腩仔賣相都唔錯,係五層肉但唔會話好肥,皮十分脆口。至於碟西芹蝦球炒雞柳就一般般,蝦炒得過熟,唔夠爽口,西芹咬落去有渣。最特出嘅都係清蒸石班,師傅蒸功一流,時間掌握得好好,條魚都算唔細,肉質好嫩滑。

晚飯三寶就有燒腩仔、西芹蝦球炒雞柳同埋清蒸石班。燒腩仔賣相都唔錯,係五層肉但唔會話好肥,皮十分脆口。至於碟西芹蝦球炒雞柳就一般般,蝦炒得過熟,唔夠爽口,西芹咬落去有渣。最特出嘅都係清蒸石班,師傅蒸功一流,時間掌握得好好,條魚都算唔細,肉質好嫩滑。
