Restaurant: CHICKEN FACTORY (爹核士街)

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 大年三十晚,當家家戶戶都提早修路的時候, Chicken Factory竟然照常營業,實在令人感動。Chicken Factory嘅主打係烤雞,但令人意外嘅,係佢哋竟然有中式嘅雞飯賣。今次試吓挑戰佢哋嘅海南雞飯,唔知會唔會有佢哋西式烤雞嘅水準。$49既海南雞飯,以錢來講,冇咩好投訴,因為大部份海南雞專賣店,最平都要五六十元。佢哋嘅飯,好意外地係俾黃薑飯,初初以為呢個價錢只係可以食到白飯。雞嘅份量好多,但啲雞既texture有啲實同鞋,一來估計係雪雞,二來佢哋可以用焗爐整,抽乾晒水啦。佢哋嘅雞,係饌上薑蔥豉油,呢個亦都係「鬼佬餐廳」煮中式嘢嘅一個盲點,你喺坊間有幾可會見到豉油淋上面嘅海南雞飯?可能,佢地明知啲雞比較鞋,要搵醬汁搭救啦。佢哋嘅配上一個紫菜湯,感覺係好新鮮,亦都ok好飲既。整體來講,佢哋嘅海南雞,唔係正宗港式嘅煮法,有啲鞋,但份量多,唔難入口,飯有驚喜,湯正常。以$49嘅價錢來講,呢個海南雞飯,中規中矩,但下次 prefer 食返佢地既烤雞菜式。
