I was on a quest to find a better Japanese restaurant in Sha Tin/ Tai Wai area. My friend and I picked Sushi San Japan in Tai Wai as recommended by many of our friends in the area and my brother. I was on a quest to find a better Japanese restaurant in Sha Tin/ Tai Wai area. My friend and I picked Sushi San Japan in Tai Wai as recommended by many of our friends in the area and my brother. We passed by many times before our visit this time and once again it was very crowed and we needed to wait for 10 mins to get the seats. We both picked the sushi platter set suggested by the shop assistant and some sushi.

One of the reasons we ordered the sushi was because I wanted to watch them being prepared. The fish looked fresh and shiny and they were being PRESSED RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU! (If you stand watching near the simi-opened kitchen.)

The fish were fresh and the the sushi rice were tightly pressed in front of us.
Among the all the sushi picked, I liked the foie gras sushi the most. The foie gras tastes unique and particularly refined. All the sashimi are freshly cut and nicely presented. I liked the Botan Shrimp, Fatty Salmon and scallop the most.

All staffs here are cheerful and helpful with right manner to serve us at all time. The atmosphere here is cozy and home-liked. An air purifier is found in this $5 sushi take away shop…it’s a WOW! We would absolutely come back.
