Tapas 3 Dishes ($360)

The restaurant offers a menu of a variety of small dishes for you to mix-and-match. We have picked 3 dishes which was costing $360.

The just lightly grilled scallop was served with generous truffle sauce on top, and we were suppose to wrap it around with sheets of sesame sheets. The scallop was nicely grilled with a char service. The taste of scallop was just average and it was a bit overpowered by the truffle sauce. The sesame sheets were soft and moist which was not what I was excepting.

The shy salmon was sitting on a pile of sushi rice and wrapped around with a piece of crispy lettuce.

I particularly liked the innovative combination between the fatty piece of salmon, nutty sesame seed sauce, as well as the light grassy lettuce.

The iberico chop was claimed to be from Kyushu. It was battered very thinly before it was grilled with its special sweet terriyaki sauce. The pork itself wasn't too moist nor tender although the texture looked really nice.

Lightly grilled toro ($118)

The fatty toro was grilled only on the surface. The fatty fish melted in your mouth instantly. It was scrumptious and tasted great although I usually prefer my toro completely raw. However, I was think that it can be a bit more affordable considering that the restaurant is located in Tin Hau.

Another very innovative dish with sticky gluey minced fatty tuna sitting on top on a deep fried battered egg. The tuna mince was seasoned with some chopped spring onion. The fishy taste balanced out with the lightness from the egg white (since the egg yolk was removed)

The clam taste was very prominent and the sea water taste was almost overpowering the whole dish yet the Inaniwa was flat and chewy, just exactly what I wanted.

Deep fried Kamage-ebi

The deep fried tiny sakura shrimps was mouth-watering with a strong flavour to it. I really wanted a glass of chilled beer by this time since it was really dry and it had such a strong taste.

Japanese chicken neck ($25)

The chicken neck was tender and the teriyaki sauce was sweet and savoury, which complimented nicely with the meaty skewer.

Japanese chicken kidney ($28)

The kidney was literally just cooked with brown edges and pink red centre. Since I am still not a big fan of kidney, I still found it a bit dried and hard to chew, though the flavour was just like any other chicken kidney!

Japanese chicken liver ($30)

The more crunchy chicken liver has a more subtle organ taste, a better option for those who are not a big fan of organs, just like me.

Japanese chicken soft bone ($30)

This chicken soft bone might be my favourite skewer I had that night because there was some chicken meat attached to the soft bones and it was not as hardened as those small round ones.
