I wanted a quick lunch before meeting up with boyfriend and his sister at the museum nearby and Alimente fit the bill. There was a sign at the entrance of the mall saying it was new. Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. You order and pay at the front cashier and they will bring the food to you when ready. During lunch they offer set menu that includes a main, soup or salad and a fruit tea all under $200. They also offer snacks as well.
I decided to get power bowl. This is the Ali Bowl ($118). This had salmon, avocado, carrot, potatoes, kidney beans, corn, onion, egg, pumpkin, sliced almonds with a choice of base. I chose mixed which was white and red rice with salad. It was quite big. Bigger than I expected. There was a small drizzle of salad dressing. Not a lot so I wish there was more. Ingredients were fresh and the corn was the fresh kind and not from a can.
I chose a soup and today's soup of the day was a cream of caulifower. It was a bit more brown than expected but still quite ok.
It came with a tiny slice of bread placed on top of a cup with sliver of butter.
The fruit tea was super sweet. After all the healthiness of the meal, this felt like sugar syrup.
Price was a bit steep for semi self service, but I assume as it's a mall, they charge more. Unsure if I'd be back though.
