As a food critic, I recently had the pleasure of dining at a small Japanese restaurant located in Jordan. With around 30 seats, the restaurant was cozy and welcoming, and I was pleased to find that I didn't have to wait to be seated when I arrived at 12:45 pm.I ordered the oilfish sashimi rice bowl($150), which was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The oilfish was thinly sliced and had a pleasant flavor that paired well with the "Shinsei" daiginjo sake($140/cup) that the manager recomm
I ordered the oilfish sashimi rice bowl($150), which was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The oilfish was thinly sliced and had a pleasant flavor that paired well with the "Shinsei" daiginjo sake($140/cup) that the manager recommended.
The miso soup had a distinctive flavor of sansho pepper and did not contain any tofu or seaweed. I found it to be a nice accompaniment to the rice bowl.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was comfortable and had a distinctly Japanese izakaya feel. I look forward to returning in the evening to try their yakitori.
Overall, my experience at this restaurant was positive, with good food, attentive service, and a pleasant atmosphere. I recommend it to anyone looking for a casual Japanese dining experience in Jordan.
