my friends and i went to this open day of the university nearby..it was about one something when we were really hungry and yearning for something to eat. as some of us hv to rush back for a talk later, we had to finish lunch really quickly because its really hard to get a seat for the popular talks.anyways, we didnt really care much about where we were going to eat-what it mattered was the distance and proximity of the restaurant to the uni. i was shocked to find a table available in this very s
anyways, we didnt really care much about where we were going to eat-what it mattered was the distance and proximity of the restaurant to the uni. i was shocked to find a table available in this very small burger joint, and so we settled down for lunch.
the lunch was not particularly cheap-it costed me 57 bucks for a burger set consisted of a burger(classic cheese burger), a small salad and a soft drink.
but apart from the price the lunch was pretty good. not sure if its because i was really too hungry-my stomach was protesting and dying to eat just ANYTHING. but the salad was good, the veges were fresh, and i like the salad dressing. the burger was okay, it was hot enough to convince you that its literally freshly made, and the patty tasted okay too-at least better than what youd get from a big M. yet i cant help adding mustard onto the patty with every bite i take. the burger in general tasted a bit bland to me i guess.
we sat, ate and chatted about the faculties and courses we were interested in that particular uni. the admission requirements were not low for sure, and we were not sure if we cud make it or not. our future-at least mine-is full of uncertainties. i felt really uncomfortable after listening to the talks, knowing the admission grades-and i guess thats the reason why an anorexic like me would comfortably finish a junkie burger in big bites, because i really needed the comfort and embrace of fat to fill up my emptiness after visiting the uni.
