Dinner with a group of friends. We are seated in the wooden bench, good setting for a long chat.

We started with half a dozen oysters ( not pictured) Spanish and French. I liked them, a set of 3 creamy and a set of 3 with a more mineral palate. Recommended by the house.

We had a few more items. But was distracted by the dishes other people were having too.

They served sizzling rice in Staub casserole with a portable Sukiyaki stove.  Smelled really good I think it was pork. I am planning to try their Foie Gras rice next time.

We had a pasta dish of lobster Creme and angel hair. Check it out. The timing on the pasta is superb and the creme and lobster was a delightful light sweetness. Usually not expected in a Japanese leading establishment.

The sashimi platter was robust. Did not order adventurously as this was my first time here, so had salmon and jumbo scallops and they did not disappoint. Somebody tell me what prawn I had please from the picture. They were good. We had prawn congee afterwards too. Staff said they have a good link with fishing source so they had priority in some hard to get ideal catches. Maybe next time I come with some aficionados.

The thick cut back ribs of pork was a real treat. It was tender but not the type that feels like it was boiled in water that you get in some BBQ rib places to allow the ribs to be overlooked. Rather it was tender but had texture and cook just enough. The light sweetness is complemented by the tangy green apple from the chunky sauce. Looks like the other picture taken in the review before, but Didn't take picture because focused on eating.

They had a good list of wine and sake. I 'll deal with that next time. After the foie gras sizzling rice.

Con: (Parking may be a bit hard, my friend was out for a while parking, or maybe he is just using his spare time to chase girls I am not sure, ha!)
