what attracted me at first of this place are the modern setting, the beautiful latte art and previous reviews which described this café as making coffee with a heart - to which i heartily agree.

arrived under the blazing sun at around 13:45. the facade was nice; liked particularly the "coffee on air" (which seems to express an applaudable desire (of the owner) to show good coffee to the world).
very few seats. 3 stools at the bar table. 4 2-person tables. the end.
sat myself down near the entrance. saw that one of the baristas was already standing at the cashier waiting for me to order. so i got up to order soon enough.
the cappuccino arrived first.
but the coffee, i must say, was quite brilliant. the cappuccino i love most (among the ones that i've tried in hong kong) is that made at barista jam@sheung wan, the winning feature of which is the delectable foam - smooth and most importantly, thick.
this cappuccino of coco espresso very nearly tied with that of barista jam because it also, to my delightful astonishment, had the most wonderfully thick smooth foam. what prevented it from tying (instead of "very nearly" tying) was the liquid beneath the foam. it had a special taste which i was not sure i liked... might be cos of the beans? (*note to self: join a coffee class to learn much more about coffee!)
still, i conclude that the cappuccino is good and i will come back for more.
then came the banana bread.
the butter goes pretty well with it though. balance between the sweetness of the bread and the saltness from the butter. plus the bread was quite banana-y, which was the reason why i eventually finished it.

in summary, i liked the place. i agree with past reviewers that this café made coffee with a heart, for which i would return. and i'd like to try their all-day breakfast too - another review already scheduled!
