If you are looking for a tranquil place to chill with good food and artistic atmosphere, fringe club ‘The vault’ is definitely the best option. It is located in a quiet area of the crowded Central, just a few minutes walk from Central MTR D1 exit. I had lunch here with a friend on a Tuesday afternoon and I was pleased to see the variety of food that I could choose from. They serve cuisines from Thailand to typical western dish- spaghetti bolognese.
I had ‘Green curry chicken’ and ‘Pork chop with tomatoes and onions’ served with rice. The portion is quite big and the quality of food is certainly value for money. The café has freshly baked pastries and their homemade cake is special every day. I ordered a regular latte and I would say I am a coffee lover. The taste and aroma of the coffee is up to my expected standards! It tastes much better than any Starbucks coffee you could find anywhere around Hong Kong.
One thing I love about this café is that it links to the gallery upstairs and a Jocky Club theatre further up on the first floor. There is a poster board featuring the jazz bands, orchestral performances and plays that will be on show in the club while the Gallery showcases some works of the artists that Fringe club is collaborating with during that period.
Do come by and you will not be disappointed by your experience here!
