when it comes to spaghetti, i am a bit conventional, i would always just go for the most predictable ones like carbonara or bolognese, but this time i was so tempted to try the taipei beef stew spaghetti as i could not imagine how this combination will turn out. and yes, i did step out of my “spaghetti🍝comfort zone”.

i couldn’t explain that taste
it reminded me of the sichuan dandan noodles as it had that nutty and teeny little bit of numbing zing which was so unexpected. weirdly, that zing was so addictive and was erupting harmoniously🎉 within my mouth.  wow, that piquancy was certainly a chef’s kiss!!👌🏼
the numbness prolonged the savory of the sprinkles of cheese (i guess it’s parmesan), luckily mine wasn’t too salty at first, so an extra dimension was added and the whole dish was enlivened.
and the beef🥩, that beef was so tender and had a subtle sweetness. it did not have much seasonings so the mildly fiery sauce compensated for it.

the earl grey-flavoured waffle itself in my opinion was a bit bitter but the delightfully refreshing lemon sorbet and the smooth early grey cream/mousse balanced it out.
the mochi inside the waffles was soooo stretchy and chewy that i screamed a little bit inside (uwu🥺), i am impressed!
