Honestly speaking, if not guided by my friend, I would definitely have never spot K-Town as it is located on a light traffic Forbes Street which is off from the main street in Kennedy Town. Facing the façade of a public sports ground, the location is premium for a Western restaurant serving casual meals and withstand a high noise level tolerance.
Arriving at 9:30pm, this 100-seater bar and restaurant was almost packed with diners. We were glad that to grab a table with benches by the entrance as the dining hall was a too noisy for a chat. Wait staff were efficient and friendly. Both the dessert and cheese platter scored high in terms or quality and quantity though devilish. Would definitely visit again for a proper meal.

Homemade chocolate chip cookie served in a hot skillet was taken directly out of the oven as we could still feel the heat of the hot pan. Crunchy honey comb and vanilla ice-cream gave a good contrast of temperature and texture.

Sitting in an air-tight jar decorated with a chocolate-dipped lady finger, the Italian word tiramisù ( “pick me up” in English) totally did its job. Served in an air-tight jar, mascarpone cheese was layered between lady fingers that were drenched in coffee, would be perfect if the whole jar was chilled for an hour more.

The menu said the combo served two but when the four of us couldn’t finished them all at the end. Comprising 6 types including of cheese brie, stilton, camembert, blue, etc., the platter with wine was a super good deal.

The choice of house red and white was a good pick. The sauvignon blanc from Australia was an easy drinking white, good value for money even ordering straight from the menu.
