Located in the buzzing Mong Kok district, this dimly-lit izakaya offers a wide array of Japanese cuisines, such as sashimi, kushiyaki, yakitori, deep-fried dishes, and more. While we noticed a funny smell lingered at the restaurant, our attention was diverted to the delectable dishes as soon as they arrived at our table. Fried to perfection, the juicy patty was blanketed in melted cheese, though it was quite heavy on the palate. The donburi featured a thick, luscious fillet atop a bed of fluffy rice, alongside a soft tamagoyaki.
The 𝒈𝒓𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒇 𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒖𝒆 ($88) was done properly- grilled just enough to lock the meat juices in, resulting in a really nice chewy texture. We also ordered two fresh-off-the-grill kushiyaki which were simply divine.
