As you may have guessed, I am not a university student, so the reason I found myself in this location that’s not quite city centre (and not quite… anything? either) is because I was visiting my mom at the hospital. In between the two visiting time slots, there is a good 5 hour gap. Thank god this cafe was there for me to chill, read, and do some work on my laptop, all the while drinking quality coffee. The staff were very friendly, and I felt comfortable sitting there for long periods of time without any pressure to leave or order more (but I imagine there would be more people on weekends and I may feel differently then).
The only downside is that the bathroom is located within the archaic 80s time capsule of a mall, so you can imagine the bathroom isn’t going to be the nicest. It’s clean but dated, and lighting is dim. You’ll also need to bring your own tissue for toilet paper. Definitely got some heebie-jeebies while I was there, so I tried to pee as fast as I could so that I could leave ASAP 🚽😂🏃🏻♀️
