Big Bite has always been my favorite burger place in Hong Kong. Whether it's the food or the atmosphere I am unsure of but I was particularly impressed on the animal heads being displayed in the shop. They lifted up my spirit whenever I looked at them.I went there alone after a long working day, placed my order and picked a seat in the corner of the restaurant, with a view to the street. I went there alone after a long working day, placed my order and picked a seat in the corner of the restaurant, with a view to the street. Tonight, I wanted to be alone enjoying my dinner on the Tuesday Beer Special evening. Waiting patiently for 10 minutes, I was served with a Crispy Bacon Cheese Burger, 5 chicken wings and a Henineken. It was well worth the wait.
I let out a sigh after taking a sip on the cold beer and let the liquid dampened my throat. Deciding against taking another sip, I started to work on my burger instead. Taking my first bit bite on my favourite food seem to be impossible without pushing down on the buns. The buns were warm with a touch of crispy flavour. The pattie was just about right with springy, chewy texture. The overall combination of with the crispy bacon is a feast for my pallet. To finish off, I licked my fingers to savour the last taste of juices slipping through my hands.
The owner is considerable enough to have a basin in the shop. After washing my hands, I was finally ready to endouge myself into the chicken wings and beer. The suicide chicken wings did not fail to awaken every nerve in my body but I resisted the temptation of ice cold beer. At least not just yet. It was not until I swallowed the last bite in my mouth did I took a sip. It was heaven on earth.
I stayed for a hour, just sitting, enjoying watching the people walked by the neighbourhood, smelling the aroma of beef being cooked and feeling the relaxing atmosphere around me. Overall, a good ending to a tough day.
