IPC foodlab is a very interesting place located at the industrial area of Fanling, it's like finding a candy store at 110th street....JK....Easy to spot when surrounded by buildingsHigh ceiling!Cauliflower soup (6/10):I can't hear the waiter clearly, so it's probably cauliflower+ potato, and it's really creamy, with the fresh breads along, it's a good start!Signature salad w/ mango x honey dressing (6/10):The variety of greens found in this dish with the figs and pine nuts were so great! The variety of greens found in this dish with the figs and pine nuts were so great!
I remember when my brother refused to eat any greens when young, obviously now we are fighting over this lovely dish LOL
Well...I am quite sure I read the word "chicken" from the menu, but it turned out w/o any significant chicken parts....so our guess is that "chicken is minced or used when cooking the sauce"!
Nonetheless, it's still a very nice dish, but it's better to be shared, as risotto could fill up the stomach easily.
We were expecting it to be tomato sauce....but then it turns out to be penne with something more like pesto sauce and ermmmmmmmm a small amount of tomatoes
The dish had too much oil (guess it's olive oil), therefore it's again a shared dish.
It's a baked quinoa and the best dish at our lunch. I have never eaten quinoa before, but the texture and taste from this is so good! The diced bell pepers and zucchinis on top absorbed the creamy sauce, which is nice as well!
The dessert was not that impressive, but personally I like the taste of the cheesecake, which was not that sweet, and the sourness of the passion fruit relieved the fullness after the meal!
Overall
Food:
Price matched with food quality (at least for lunch), particularly when some of the stuffs are selected from organic farms and through fair trade, it's good to know they are supporting these groups
Service:
Nice waiters/ waitress, responsive and ready to answer questions
Environment:
Who could say "no" to restaurants with high ceilings? The whole environment is spacious enough, and if you prefer outdoor, there are a few tables right around the corner!
Other Info. :
There's a minor incident, which was we ordered an apple juice, but then even after 1.5 hours of dining, no one ever informed us it's sold out.
It's only until we asked them then we knew, would be better if the staffs could take the initiative next time.
