I visited Subway in Quarry Bay for lunch. It’s located outside exit C of the MTR station. It has no seating and a small number of tables for those that wish to eat standing up. The majority of the business is takeaway. The décor is plain, clean and simple. There were plenty of staff working and the short queue moved quickly. I ordered a toasted steak and cheese 6-inch sub (see picture). I had the BBQ and chilli sauce and various salad items (except red onions). The bread was soft and tasted nice
I ordered a toasted steak and cheese 6-inch sub (see picture). I had the BBQ and chilli sauce and various salad items (except red onions). The bread was soft and tasted nice. The steak had some nice flavours and wasn’t too dry. The salad was ok, and the chilli sauce gave it an extra kick. I was in the store for around 5 minutes and took the sub back to my office to eat. The 6-inch size was enough to fill me up. The sub managed to hold its shape as I ate it and it wasn’t too messy. I had water to accompany my meal.
Subway is a quick, well-priced lunchtime option. It was quite underwhelming and a little bland compared to my usual preferences for flavour, but it served its purpose. I’m not sure I’ll visit often but it’s near the office and quick which is convenient.
