Located in Kowloon City, 黃明記粥粉麵家 (English name: Wong Ming Kee) has been serving noodles for decades. Their most popular item? The squid balls and pork balls. Boyfriend and I shared out toppings so we could try everything. So, we tried the pork ball, squid ball, fish ball, fish skin dumpling, wonton and a squid tentacle. It was ok. The pork balls were fairly good with lots of pork flavor. The squid balls were a bit too soft for my liking but at least a lot of squid taste. The fish balls were firm and al dente. The squid tentacle was way too tough. The soup just tasted like MSG and the noodles were over cooked.
It was ok. Not that great. I think a bit over hyped. Prices aren't expensive but seating isn't comfortable. Only be back if nothing else to choose from.
