Tucked away in a rural residential village far from the urbanization, it might not be the easiest place to find, but it’s worth the hunt. Coffee workshop and equipment store on one side and cafe with open kitchen on the other. The unique cozy homey space emanates a warm and comforting ambiance. The stripped-down decor and quiet neighborhood enable you to enjoy the good coffee and food without any distraction.Hokkaido scallops, salmon roe, onion on ciabatta | $88Their food has exceeded my expecta

Hokkaido scallops, salmon roe, onion on ciabatta | $88
Their food has exceeded my expectation.
Simplicity done well with smart and thoughtful combination of ingredients. The scallops are seared lightly still opaque in the centre, with salmon roe bursting a salty umami, both complimented a fluffy scrambled egg.

Crayfish salad, avocado on country bread | $85
The crayfish salad and avocado is flavorful and creamy, making it a great spread on the country bread. Personally prefer the country bread over ciabatta as it has more crunch.

Not many coffee shop serve their coffee with such appreciation and in this meticulous manner. The Flat white is served with a shot of espresso. It’s suggested to start with the intense espresso with a balance of bitterness and acidity, then go for the flat white that helps enhance the flavor and contrast with a lovely sweet aftertaste. This is a perfect coffee moment.

They also have a selection of coffee beans from various origins with different characteristics. Hand drip coffee is truly an art that takes a lot of tasting and experience to understand. As an amateur, not in a position to comment on the quality of it but it does come with the proclaimed fruity tasting note.

For non-coffee drinker, I highly recommend their Genmaicha latte ($38) that appears in matcha green but brings such roasted brown rice aroma that is so soothing and tasty. Might be one of the best tea latte I’ve tasted.
