Sushiman is one of the three founding Omakase pillars in Yuen Long. It is the epitome of excellent service and tasty sushi, which I think, every Omakase restaurant should follow. I made an appointment for a Saturday lunch around four months ago, so you can tell how famous it is among all Japanese food lovers. The exterior is not vividly decorated, but you can tell it’s a Japanese restaurant from its simple wooden door. It’s a cozy restaurant, which allows customers to interact with the chef more

It’s a cozy restaurant, which allows customers to interact with the chef more easily. The chef was very approachable and knowledgeable. He told us information about all the seafood he used in our meal. His knife and nigiri skills were very professional.

The size of each piece of sushi is appropriate, so we could finish in one bite. We ordered the $588 Omakase set. There were steamed eggs, 15 pieces of sushi and a handroll in the set, so we were so stuffed after the meal. The steam eggs were filled with black truffle flavour. The sushi were very exceptional, especially the cheek of a tuna and the cord fish in Hokkaido. Other common sushi such as scallop sushi, tuna sushi, shrimp sushi, urchin sushi were very fresh and scrumptious. Overall, I think the Omakase was very satisfying, and the price was very reasonable.
