I saw La Cabane’s lunch menu on its Facebook page and it looks really enticing so I went to check it out with a friend. For $140, you can get an appetiser, a main and a drink. You can even choose a glass of wine for the drink! We both ordered the chefs salad as the appetiser and the honey glazed salmon with quinoa and guacamole as the main. Both were absolutely amazing. Apart from being very visually appealing, the dishes get top marks for taste as well. The chef’s salad had cheese and roasted honeyed hazelnuts which were amazing. The salmon was cooked to perfection, it was very tender and had a slight sweetness to it from the honey. The guacamole and quinoa were perfect complements. We were so happy with our mains, so we decided to add a cheese of the day and a dessert. For the dessert, we had a toffee and date pudding with caramel sauce. I was afraid it would be too sweet, but luckily it wasn’t and I loved the texture of the pudding. The lunch is great value and the food quality is excellent. It will definitely become one of my to-go lunch places!
