Spoil Cafe is famous for their cakes, and people often come to buy their signature crunch cake. My boyfriend and I came here for dinner on a Friday. It is an incredibly adorable little cafe on Sun Street, just around the corner from Star Street. Reservations often have to be made weeks in advance, due to the fact that the cafe is very small and only seats of less than 20 persons at a time. We had the Mango & Avocado salad with Prawns in Dijon Mustard Sauce as our appetizer, and found that it was simple and delicious. The combination of sweet mangoes and buttery avocado delightfully brought the salad together.

For main course, the Spoil King Prawn Linguine with Creamy Crab Sauce was accomplished. The sizable and juicy king prawns is the absolute star. It was decadently tasty.

The crab sauce was appealingly creamy but not heavy, and was absolutely inspiring

The next course was the Baked Pork Chop with Cherry Tomato Balsamic Sauce. The pork chop was cooked flavorfully and was nicely al dente.

I adored its firm and satisfying texture, and I found the cherry tomato balsamic sauce was mildly sour but refreshing.

The honey crunch is crunchy, and the cake was light and fluffy but not overly sweet. But I have tried better somewhere else so I wouldn’t say it was surprisingly awesome.

Overall speaking, the dinner was a magnificent bundle of delight and it was all the revitalization we needed after a long week. But there was something about this cafe which I found strangely alluring. It is a little sanctuary in the heart of bustling Wan Chai, and under the autumn breeze, the homeliness and intimacy of Spoil Cafe was deeply comforting.
