We started with the second tier which consists of two baked scones and two gougeres. There was an original flavored butter scone and one with raisin. Came with clotted cream and strawberry jam, the scones came warm. They were pretty light, buttery and crumbly but had a slightly bitter aftertaste. We then moved onto the first tier with all savoury baked goods. The Spinach Quiche was better seasoned than the Lorraine Quiche. The Lorraine Quiche tasted quite bland when compared with the Spinach Quiche and the bacon used was not rich enough in our opinion. The Chicken and Mushroom Vol-au-vent caught us in surprise. Filled with chicken and mushroom, the pastry shell was crispy and flaky and that was the best out of three savoury items we have had.

Finally we get to the sweet little ones. I am not a big fan of Ispahan no matter where they are from as they tend to be on the sweeter side and I am honestly not a big fan of the rose aroma. This was quite what I had expected. Beneath the rose macaron shell, were fresh raspberries and rose buttercream. It was slightly less sweet than what I have had before which is a plus and the rose buttercream was very fragrant. I liked how the fresh raspberries added a hint of tartness to reduce the sweetness of the Ispahan. The macarons were done nicely and we especially loved the Salted Butter Caramel Macaron. There was a pretty strong hint of saltiness with a roasted carmelised flavor.

The Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch cake was a variation of a Ferrero Rocher. It was a very rich chocolate hazelnut cake with many different layers as you can see. The chocolate ganache and chocolate cream was smooth and creamy and the praline crunch was to die for. We really loved how it brought the crunch to the cake. The only downside of the cake is it's probably too much to take in for a person if its in normal size but this mini version will definitely do the trick!

Save the best for last. We all knew how good the cupcakes were at Sift. We finished off our three-tier afternoon tea set with the Red Velvet and Triple Chocolate mini cupcake. They were as light, moist and rich as usual. The cream chees frosting of the red velvet cupcake was smooth and light while the chocolate cream cheese filling and ganache glaze of the triple chocolate was heavenly. Can we have more please?
