It’s my first time here and already I’m loving the night scene from top 💕🍸🍹First of all, the location of Sugar is very near residential area in Tai Koo so maybe that’s why it’s not as noisy as the bars in Central/ Lan Kwai Fong. Secondly it’s very convenient to go to as it’s near the MTR and Tai Koo Shing. First of all, the location of Sugar is very near residential area in Tai Koo so maybe that’s why it’s not as noisy as the bars in Central/ Lan Kwai Fong. Secondly it’s very convenient to go to as it’s near the MTR and Tai Koo Shing. As I haven’t been to the EAST HK 東隅, I didn’t actually know the bar is at this hotel 🏨 (I thought this is a service apartment XD)
The bar only opens from 5:30pm onwards every night and they serve beverages and snacks. (I think they used to do afternoon teas as I saw the past photos) The drink and snack prices are similar to those at Lan Kwai Fong, though it’s much quieter here.
Tonight I came along with a few Uni friends to this alumni event as a few teachers were visiting Hong Kong. It’s a great place that they have chosen for the night.
We started with around 6 people eventually had more than 14 people so the price of minimum per person has raised. The waiters and waitresses were very nice and assisted us to put some seats and tables together just around the corner for us. As we couldn’t drink much, we ordered a few snacks such as fries and nibbles along, and end with the recommended rainbow shots 🌈🥃

I had a glass of white wine to start with and dug myself through the sweet potato and potato fries. I’m very into fries and thought the fries were fried perfectly with a soft filling and crunchy crust. 👍🏻🍟 the fries were matched with the slightly spicy mayo. It was tasty but I’m a huge fan if ketchup 😂 My second drink was lemonade as I’ve had enough alcohol already. The lemonade was a life safer as I was quite dehydrated from eating all those snacks.

Overall it was a very good experience at the Sugar Bar. The people are really nice here. I’m very glad that the rain had stopped so we could sit outside to chit-chat and enjoy the night view from a high distance up. Would love to come here again! 🍸
