Kennedy Town is full of hidden gems. Yesterday I came across Alvy's who serves handmade pizza and craft beer on tap.Ordered a set menu for 2 to share. Juicy, fork tender meatballs in a savory gravy.
Yu Kwen Yick Wings
Buffalo wings coated in local chili sauce, served with salty and earthy blue cheese sauce.
Alvy's Caesar
Combination of HK's signature food including char siu and deep-fried wonton skin. The fermented beancurd dressing matched well with the ingredients.
Bourbon Pie
The homemade sourdough bread had a fantastic chewy texture. Loaded with melting mozzarella and slow-cooked chicken breast slices. The barbecue sauce was smoky, rich and not too sweet.
Lucky Flower
Coconut and pomegranate. Tart and slightly acidic.
Sunshine
Crisp guava sour. Appetizing and refreshing.
They also offer free-flow $300 for 2 hours including 5 kinds of beer, house wine, Higherthan highball, cider, lemonade, soda and juice. Sounds like a good deal!
