Environment
Walking into this restaurant, you will be impressed by its spaciousness. The décor I believe is intentionally dated with an Italian style. There are booths as well as cushioned benches and tables for sitting areas. You will also see an open drinks area for you to pour your own drinks.
Service
You’ll get minimum service here, which makes sense considering the low price it charges you for their food. To order your food, you press a button which allows the staff to know you need service. They will then take your order and your meal is taken to you when ready. When you finish your meal, you will go outside to pay for it. A very no fuss restaurant.
Food
They have a very large selection of Italian food: Pizza, pasta, grilled food, salads, soups, baked risottos and desserts.
On my visit, we ordered the Minestrone Soup, Escargots with Herbs & Butter, Chicken Wings, Garlic Broccoli with Mushrooms, Garlic Baguette and Meat Doria with Soft-Boiled Egg
Firstly, the minestrone soup was lovely. Full of flavour with so much ingredients inside. They definitely did not go easy on the preparation of this.
The escargots were perfectly cooked and were piping hot when brought out. You could instantly smell the herbs and butter and it was a perfect combination with the escargots. Yum!
Chicken wings were okay. Texture was good but could be juicer inside and the flavour was average.
Garlic broccoli was tasty. Broccoli was not overcooked and there was an extremely strong garlic taste but the portion size was not very big.
The garlic baguette was delightful. It was so crispy and it was spread with flavourful and strong garlic butter.
The meat doria came last and it was definitely worth the wait. So flavourful with its combination of Bolognese sauce, cheese and egg. It was extremely well seasoned and meat seemed very fresh. Only disappointment was there was slightly too much sauce as the rice was drowned in it
Overall, a very good no fuss restaurant serving tasty Italian food that is so cheap. Will definitely come again
