My girlfriend and I love good food. And Italian cuisine comes high up in our list of favourites. Whilst walking around Lai Kwai Fong we were attracted by the lingering neon sign at the end of a side street and checked the menu out. I must separate, in my review of the place, the rating for courtesy (highest), service (excellent) and food (maybe a bad night for the chef, but below Italian standards).
Whilst the salad starter was good, fresh and appetizing, we were disappointed by the linguine con vongole (it lacked the exquisite flavour of the more tasty "vongole veraci" variant) and especially by the pizza. Now, a good pizza should always be crispy, whereas the dough of the one we were served was chewy and plastic tasting. Definitely a miss here.
The owner/manager was extremely kind, attentive and "simpatico" throughout the meal; hence, we still managed to have an enjoyable night out.
